Q: What is your Business Continuity Plan?
A: Interactive Study Systems has a responsibility for minimizing the danger to life, and property arising from natural and man-made disasters. The company has demonstrated this commitment by establishing and maintaining an effective Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan. This plan is required to ensure that essential functions of the organization are able to continue in the event of serious adverse circumstances. The goal of this plan has two parts, first, to recover to a minimum level of service, second, to return the company to a business as usual posture.
To accomplish this purpose a Business Recovery Team has been developed to plan, respond and test the company's systems in of such an emergency. The responsibilities include the following:
- salvage and restore company operations
- establish a plan for an alternative work site during the emergency, including records, and support equipment.
- keeping duplicate records at a different site
- storing critical information such as accounts receivable, client information, or outstanding bills in a safe and secure location
- updating the plan annually
- have Team members with key responsibilities keep copies of the emergency plan at their homes
- create and update an inventory list of equipment at the facility twice a year.
- update/confirm employee information twice a year
When implemented, the plan will provide an ample alternative communication capability and maximum continued service for our clients. |
